As I write the seasons report it is amazing to think how far we have come in a short time as on Saturday the Bayleys Real Estate Premiers were crowned the Hawkes Bay cricket 50 over Club Champions after defeating Tech by 30 runs in an incredible game of cricket.

Congratulations to our Premier player Graeme Tryon making the Central Districts A squad!! Awesome to see a local village player on the first class cricket stage!!

Aaron Brittin has been appointed as Club Manager and will undertake the many administrative tasks associated with our club.

HNCC is delighted to announce the appointment of Derek Stirling as the Senior Coach for the 2014/15 season!
Derek’s resume is pretty impressive…

I am currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hawkes Bay Cricket Association and upon consultation with Hawkes Bay Cricket there is no conflict of interest (as long as I am not an elected officer of the HNCC) and therefore I am able to pursue my desire to coach at HNCC.

Prems beat Marist for their 1st win of the 2013/14 season
The premiers scored their 1st win of the 2013/14 season beating the Mathew Sinclair captained Marist side by three wickets at Cornwall Park on Saturday.
Marist scored 217-5 on the back of 107 not out from Sinclair.
Ben Fair 57, James Taylor 36, Lindisfarne year 12 student Nick Ward 34 and 40 no from Jared Priest saw us home with 4 1/2 overs to spare.HNCC 221/7

Year 7, Year 8, and the Colts Blue teams have wrapped up wins in the HB Superleague competition. The Y8 boys defended a small total to win the finals match on Sunday reversing an earlier loss, and the Colts Blue beat the Colts Gold to complete an unbeaten season. The Y7 boys were unbeatable going into the last round. Another fantastic result for our Junior club! Well done to the boys and coaches.

The Premiers have won the Gifford Devine Trophy off Cornwall with their victory in the latest 50 over match. This backs up the win over our fierce rivals in the 1st round
